New appeal to meet deadline for funding fight against huge housing development

The Cuckfield Society Committee made a decision two years ago to work together with the Stop Cuck-Stye Action Group (SCAG). A group of local residents from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences who have come together to oppose the unwanted and unsustainable building of 1,450 houses in a beautiful and iconic Wealden landscape. Effectively linking the villages of Cuckfield with Ansty.

Now we are calling on 100 people to step forward and join our £500 Club – a small but powerful group who can help us fight back when it matters most. A one-off £500 donation will go directly towards the legal costs of securing the barrister we urgently need for the next stage of our campaign.

Without this, we risk losing our chance to challenge a development that could place huge strain on our already stretched roads, water, electricity, and local services – and change our village forever.

We have until June 9 to raise the funds, and every member of the £500 Club brings us one step closer to protecting our community.

You’ll receive exclusive updates, and, if we succeed, an invitation to a special thank-you event. If you’re able to give at this level, now is the moment to stand with us and make a lasting difference. Please donate to take your stand against developer FairFax.
