Tranquil beauty surrounding Cuckfield inspires new wellbeing venue for all set in ancient woodland

A new yoga and wellbeing venue has opened in the hills of ‘Holmsted Himalayas’ near Cuckfield, offering classes and activities in a handcrafted yurt overlooking ancient woodland.

The Yoga Yurt, founded by Isis du Jour, has been established as a space for yoga, meditation and holistic wellbeing in a natural setting. The 24-foot yurt aims to provide an environment where people can practise yoga and movement while connecting with nature.

Classes are open to all experience levels, from beginners all the way to established practitioners. Alongside yoga, the venue will host meditation sessions and other holistic wellbeing activities.

Founder, Isis du Jour, said the project was created to bring people together through movement and shared experiences in a peaceful setting. “The vision was to create a nurturing space where people could come together to share yoga, movement and connection in harmony with nature," she said. "More than a studio, we hope it will become a place where community can grow."

The opening comes as demand for outdoor and nature-based wellbeing activities continues to increase, with more people seeking alternatives to conventional indoor fitness spaces.

Located overlooking ancient woodland off Staplefield Road, The Yoga Yurt is now welcoming visitors throughout the year. To discover more, use the button below to visit their website.
