Fight back on to stop another plan for Cuck-Stye in its tracks

The popular Race night event in support of the Say Not Too Cuck-Stye campaign was a runaway success.

More than 100 people packed into the Queen’s Hall to place their bets and help ensure the developer Fairfax does not get back in the race and win permission to build 1,450 houses on an unsustainable site, merging Cuckfield and Ansty.

“It was great to help run an event that attracted widespread support from across
the villages,” said Lead Organiser Jerry Cripps. “The bar, raffle, betting and some very generous donations helped us raise over £6,000 on the night to continue the battle with Fairfax. A great result and a fun evening supported by a super team of volunteers.”

Fairfax look set to launch a Planning Appeal, supported by a team of expensive corporate lawyers. Cuckfield coalition, meanwhile, is preparing for the
looming legal battle. If you would like to support the fight, please click the donaton button below.

Race Night at the Queen’s Hall raised £6,000 to help pay for costs in the on-going battle to prevent a huge housing development between Cuckfield and Ansty which would effectively merge the two villages.
